Just a few days left of the 2014 Alligator season

We are in the midst of finishing up the 2014 recreational alligator hunting season. It has been fun and  interesting. High waters this year made hunting more challenging. The Gators were able to move over greater distances into creeks and pastures. Their food supply of migrating ducks has led the gators to forage at night and search for food in the cow pastures due to the high waters. Most of our hunts are done on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, the Headwaters to the Everglades; located in the Orlando area, near Kissimmee, St Cloud. Call or book with us online. We are located just 30 minutes from the theme parks, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios. You can call us or reserve on our website. We are offering holiday gift certificates for the 2015 gator season and can be paid online.

Fly Fishing Trips

fly3The Kissimmee Chain of Lakes is noted, to be some of the best freshwater fly fishing in the state. We are the headwaters to the Florida everglades. We are conveniently located 30 minutes south of Walt Disney World and the Orlando Convention Center making it a great opportunity to do some fishing.
fly4Bass, Bluegill and Crappie are our main targeted species. We fly fish year round, but the summer months are the best. It tends to rain daily in the afternoon, creating a flow of water heading south to the everglades. This sets the stage with good ambush points for fish to feed and fly anglers to take advantage of the situation and land the fish of a life time.
Fly2We provide all fly fishing equipment to make your trip a success. Also, you are more than welcome to bring your own equipment. Give us a call or click to our reservation page and pick your morning or afternoon.

To ensure an open date needed for your guide trip, we recommend making your reservation and paying your deposit online as early as possible (at least 2 weeks ahead of time and longer during winter and holiday periods). A $50.00 deposit will be needed to hold the required dates. Deposits are non-refundable and will go towards the payment for the trip upon completion.

What We Provide

Your Orlando bass fishing guide will provide rods, reels, artificial bait and terminal tackle (corks, hooks). Fishing in Central Florida requires a heavier type of equipment which will be provided. There will be no need to bring your own equipment. If you book an artificial trip and would like to bring your own rods please feel free to do so.
The fishing guide will provide soft drinks, water and ice. If special drinks are required you may wish to bring your own. Food can be purchased on the lake at Richardson’s Fish Camp. Your guide will be happy to take you in for lunch at your request. Snacks are not provided, so you may wish to bring your own (no Bananas, it brings bad luck to fisherman to have bananas on his boat). Don’t forget your camera, sunscreen and protective clothing. Florida can get cold in the winter months and as you know our sun seems to be warmer than normal.
To preserve our resources Orlando Fishing Guides practices catch and release whenever possible. We recommend a replica be made of all trophy fish and preserve our trophy resource for our children’s children. All guides carry cameras, and we would be happy to take photos of your trophy catch and email them to you. Instructional services are also available on request and should be arranged at the time of booking.
