Late Spring bite
The bass spawn is finishing up. We have been catching bass up to 6 lbs. Sooner or later the big females will fall for a live wild shiner on a hook. Also, the Crappie spawn is over. The Redear sun fish are coming to spawn in the spatterdock lilly pads. They spend the majority of the time in the year in open water. Bait of choice is fly rod with poppers. Also crickets are a sure bet.We are located 30 minutes from Walt Disney World and Attractions. The Kissimmee Chain of Lakes is considered to be one of the top fishing destinations in North America.

January Bass and Crappie Bite.
The Bass spawn is on! Anglers are finding beds in two feet of water. The big bass are moving in and out. If your looking for big fish, this is the best time of the year. Also, the Crappie are starting to move in to spawn. Less are being caught in the open water, which tells me they are starting to move in shallow. Usually a dead give away to location in the morning . Look for bait jumping out of the water. The Panfish have moved in shallow to spawn. When the moon phase is right and there is flow from the rain. they are easy to catch with a Beetle spin or on Fly rod. If all else fails bring out the crickets.
