Big Bass moving shallow.

On my recent trips, The smaller male bass have been moving in shallow to compete for spawning area. The Big Females aren’t far behind.  I expect the first spawn will be in 1 foot of water , happening close to Christmas day. Its time to book a trip, and go catch a big Bass of a lifetime.

The Holidays are upon us

The water temperatures on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes have been staying in the 60s. This will make the smaller male Bass, start to move in to shallow waters to compete for spawning areas.  The Crappies have been moving from open water to the outside edge of the kissimmee grass looking for food.  The best bait of choice would be a Crappie jig tipped with a minnow and fish along the edge of the kissimmee grass. The fish will keep going it shallower as the water cools . The first spawn will take place in less than 12 inches of water. Usually in December

Ok the bait of choice will be  Zoom  Vibe worms, flukes.  If fishing open water hydrilla throw Rattle traps , yo zuri 3d minnow or  rapala x raps are good choices . My personal favorite Is live wild shiners fished under a float. Shallow sandy areas, and hydrilla are your best bets.

Crappie will still be in deeper water until the first of the year fish open water, edges of hydrilla patches . East lake Toho  is a good bet for big crappie.   jigs tipped with a minnow are the  norm

Just a few days left of the 2014 Alligator season

We are in the midst of finishing up the 2014 recreational alligator hunting season. It has been fun and  interesting. High waters this year made hunting more challenging. The Gators were able to move over greater distances into creeks and pastures. Their food supply of migrating ducks has led the gators to forage at night and search for food in the cow pastures due to the high waters. Most of our hunts are done on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, the Headwaters to the Everglades; located in the Orlando area, near Kissimmee, St Cloud. Call or book with us online. We are located just 30 minutes from the theme parks, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios. You can call us or reserve on our website. We are offering holiday gift certificates for the 2015 gator season and can be paid online.

Hunts are located 30 minutes from Walt Disney World and area theme attractions.  With high water levels gators have been foraging for food in the water flows. October is looking good! Weather is cooling off the rain will be less.
